Colleen Guzman (she/her/ella) is a Los Angeles native, born and raised in multiple parts of Northeast Los Angeles. She has a B.A. in child development and elementary education from Whittier College and is currently a graduate student working towards her Masters in Education. She first joined HOLA in 2020 as a SmartStart Elementary teacher, fostering self-empowered and self-directed learners through HOLA’s community education programs that utilize alternative forms of interactive learning, ensuring that all students have access to equitable learning spaces. In her role as Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager, Colleen combines her expertise in the education field and passion for community engagement to help volunteers find their place and make an impact at HOLA.
